The success of the 18th International Conference of the Kenya Society of Engineers held on 17 – 19 July 2023 in Mombasa, Kenya, attracted over 95 attendees, almost 5% more than in 2022, coming from over 35 private companies and government institutions. The delegates and the presenters had mixed background that included academic, industry, and military experts, giving the conference a highly professional profile and significance, attracting African representatives.

The conference, with the theme “Building Bridges: Engineering Connections and the Future of Society,” provided an invaluable forum for the engineering industry and research professionals to interact and share new ideas, experiences, and knowledge and included an extensive program of technical presentations and dynamic round-table discussions focusing on the wide range of engineering applications.
